December is the busiest month of the year for most people. Our days get filled easily with all kinds of activities and preparations for the coming celebration of Christmas. It is easy to become stressed and frustrated with those activities and all the things we have to do. So much so that Christmas becomes a chore instead of a joy. So how do we avoid that? By taking time to slow down to remember what is really important. Not just in the religious sense, but for your own wellbeing and the wellbeing of your relationships. Most of the time our Christmas preparation is centered around celebration with friends and family. So take time to just enjoy their company and remember why you love them. Most of us would rather have the presence of our loved one than presents from them. We need to remember that they feel the same way. It’s not getting the perfect gift it’s taking the time to think of them. It’s not that the home is perfectly clean and decorated but that they are welcomed in it that matters. Remember the season is not a performance, it is a gift.
